Personal Care Assistance
Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting support that protects dignity and independence.
Medication Management
Reminders, dosage tracking, and coordination with prescriptions so nothing is missed.
Companionship & Social Support
Real conversation, shared activities, and a familiar face that eases loneliness.
Light Housekeeping & Meals
A tidy, comfortable home and nutritious meals suited to dietary needs.
Mobility & Transfer Assistance
Safe support moving around the home and reducing fall risk.
Respite Care for Families
A trusted break for family caregivers, with quality care continuing in your absence.
How care begins
A simple, unhurried process designed around your family's schedule.
Free consultation
We visit your home, or speak by phone, to understand your loved one's needs, routines, and preferences.
Personalized care plan
We match a qualified RN, LPN, or HCA to your family and build a plan around real daily life, not a template.
Ongoing, flexible support
Care adjusts as needs change, with open communication between our team, your family, and your physician.
Consistency your family can count on
The same familiar caregiver, whenever possible — because trust takes time to build, and your loved one shouldn't have to rebuild it with a new face every week.
We hire experienced, credentialed RNs, LPNs, and HCAs, and match them thoughtfully to your household — considering language, personality, and specific care needs like dementia support or post-surgical recovery.
What families are saying
Real feedback from families and facility partners we support across British Columbia.
"The care and attention given to my mother has been outstanding. The same caregiver comes almost every visit — that consistency made all the difference for her."
"From our first call, everything felt personal — not like dealing with a big agency. They took the time to understand what we actually needed for Dad."
"We needed reliable LPN coverage for our long-term care home on short notice. Prime Care delivered experienced staff who integrated quickly with our team."
"After my husband's surgery, the nurse who came to our home was calm, skilled, and kind. It gave me the confidence to keep him home during recovery."
"Respite care from Prime Care has been a lifeline. Knowing Mom is with someone she already knows lets me rest without guilt."
"Professional, responsive, and genuinely caring. They coordinated with our physician and kept us informed every step of the way."

Answers to what families ask us most before getting started.
What's the difference between an HCA, LPN, and RN?
A Health Care Assistant (HCA) supports daily living needs like bathing, dressing, and companionship. A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) can also manage medications and basic clinical tasks. A Registered Nurse (RN) handles more complex clinical needs, such as wound care or chronic condition management. We match the right level to your situation during your free consultation.
How much does in-home care cost in BC?
Cost depends on the type of care, hours needed, and caregiver credentials required. Because every family's situation is different, we provide a clear, no-obligation quote after your free consultation rather than a generic price list.
Do you provide the same caregiver for every visit?
Whenever possible, yes — we prioritize matching your family with a consistent, familiar caregiver rather than rotating staff, because trust and routine matter for both seniors and families.
How quickly can care start?
In many cases we can begin care within a few days of your consultation, sooner for urgent situations. Timing depends on the specific caregiver skills your situation requires.
Is in-home care covered by insurance or government funding in BC?
Some costs may be partially covered through extended health benefits or provincial home support programs, depending on your situation and assessed care needs. We're happy to help you understand your options during your consultation.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve communities across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, the BC Interior, and the Sunshine Coast — including Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Langley, Coquitlam, Abbotsford, Victoria, and Kelowna. We also provide staffing support into Alberta.
